Level 1 Groups that each hold the same amount.
Example: 8 markers in 2 equal groups means 4 in each group.
Level 1 To add the same number many times to find a total.
Example: 2 × 4 means add 4 two times: 4 + 4 = 8.
Level 1 A number that shows part of a whole.
Example: 1/2 is one piece of a whole cut into 2 equal parts.
Level 1 One complete thing before it is cut into parts.
Example: One full cup of rice is 1 whole.
