Estimating Percents of Numbers

  1. Use benchmark percents: 10% (move decimal left 1), 1% (move left 2), 50% (half), 25% (quarter)
  2. Combine benchmarks (e.g. 15% = 10% + 5%; 75% = 50% + 25%)
