Tonight we plot points on a grid called the coordinate plane. We use two numbers, called an ordered pair, to say exactly where a point goes.
An ordered pair (x, y) is like map directions. The first number tells you how far to move sideways. The second number tells you how far to move up. You always start at the center, called the origin.
