Tonight we find the area of a trapezoid. A trapezoid is a four-sided shape with one pair of parallel sides. Those two sides are the bases, and they have different lengths.
Add the two bases, multiply by the height, then take half. The rule is: area = ½ × (base 1 + base 2) × height.
